Is this the most decadent pizza ever made? New York restaurant offers pie topped with foie gras, truffles, caviar and flakes of 24-karat GOLD for the price of $2,000

A New York City restaurant is taking a stab at creating the most decadent pizza on the market with a pie topped in gold flakes, foie gras and even truffles.
紐約的一家餐館正在嘗試制作市面上最“腐敗”的披薩,這種披薩表面覆蓋了黃金薄片、鵝肝和松露。
The 24K pizza is available at Industry Kitchen, an eatery in New York City's South Street Seaport, for a whopping $2,000 and, as the name would suggest, is noted for being covered in flakes of 24-karat gold.
Industry Kitchen是位于紐約市南街海港的一間餐廳,你可以在這里購買到這款24K黃金比薩,其售價高達2000美元。顧名思義,黃金披薩因為覆蓋了24k黃金金片而聞名。
All held together with imported white stilton cheese, the flakes are interspersed on the pie with dollops of Ossetra caviar from the Caspian Sea as well as truffles and Fois Gras from France.
黃金披薩中使用了進口白斯第爾頓奶酪、表面的金箔上點綴有里海俄羅斯鱘魚子醬、法國松露和鵝肝。
Sliced into eight pieces, the pizza works out to $250 per slice, meaning it costs roughly $50 per bite.

Talking to Town & Country, Industry Kitchen Executive Chef Braulio Bunay said he was inspired to create the pizza by the city's Financial District, which he described as 'the epitome of decadence'.

'The pizza is extremely rich - if you're in the mood for a lavish meal, this is the pizza for you,' he said.

Many are less than impressed by the cheesy indulgence, with the New York Daily News speaking to one dietitian who blasted the lack of nutritional value in the pizza's most expensive ingredient: the Ecuador-imported gold flakes.

'It doesn't have carbs, fat or protein so it won't provide calories, unlike sprinkles which have sugar. It's mostly for decoration. It's tasteless,' said registered dietician Alix Turoff.

Yet the pizza is far from the first recipe to incorporate a bit of the precious metal. Earlier this year, Bj?rn DelaCruz, the owner of Filipino restaurant the Manila Social Club, in Williamsburg, New York, created the pricey Golden Cristal Ube Donut.
不過,黃金比薩早就不是第一種加入了黃金的食物。“馬尼拉社交俱樂部”是紐約威廉斯堡一家菲律賓餐廳,今年早些時候,餐廳老板Bj?rn DelaCruz制作了一款昂貴的黃金水晶宇部甜甜圈。
Topped with golden leaves and flavored with champagne, the confection was sold for $100 a pop.

吃金子還不過癮,新加坡的茶品公司TWG還推出了可以喝的黃金。該公司的黃金英式茶每一顆都包裹著24K純金,喝過的人表示它的味道是“混合著花香和金屬”。它的售價為100克3000美金。
國內(nèi)一些酒商也推出過黃金酒,將純度為99.99%的純金做成金箔添加在白酒中。某廠家還打出了“常飲金箔酒定會讓您精力充沛、心曠神怡”的廣告。
事實上,“食金之風”由來已久,早在16世紀一些歐洲貴族就在食物中添加食用金箔,而在中國,《本草綱目》也有記載:“食金,鎮(zhèn)精神、堅骨髓、通利五臟邪氣,服之神仙。尤以箔入丸散服,破冷氣,除風”。如今,各種金箔大餐、金箔酒、金箔糕點更是成為高檔搶手貨,受到富人們的追捧。
但是金子是重金屬,直接服用安全嗎?此外,吃金子真的對人有那么多好處嗎?
從營養(yǎng)學的角度看,金不是人體必需的營養(yǎng)素。只要不吃太多,是既無害也無益的。金的穩(wěn)定性很好,在人體內(nèi)不會消化,也不會發(fā)生反應,它沒有任何營養(yǎng)價值或者味道,食用金箔后,不會堆積在體內(nèi),會原封不動地排出人體。簡單來說,就是吃進去的黃金會隨糞便排出體外。
但是,如果吃太多黃金,可能會影響消化,造成腸胃不適甚至危及性命。中國古代“吞金自殺”的說法就是因為吞服大量黃金后,金制品通過機械性刺激等,導致消化道破裂、出血等并發(fā)癥所致。
