Chinese authorities Monday stressed precise and differentiated strategies in the prevention and control of the novel coronavirus epidemic. Measures should be taken based on different conditions in each region to combat the epidemic, according to a meeting of the leading group of the Communist Party of China (CPC) Central Committee on the prevention and control of the novel coronavirus outbreak.

2月17日，國務院聯防聯控機制印發《關于科學防治精準施策分區分級做好新冠肺炎疫情防控工作的指導意見》。《意見》要求，各地要制定差異化的縣域防控和恢復經濟社會秩序的措施。要以縣（市、區、旗）為單位，依據人口、發病情況綜合研判，科學劃分疫情風險等級，明確分級分類的防控策略。要劃小管控單元，轄區內的城鄉社區、機關、企事業單位、社會組織和個人均應按要求落實相關防控措施。低風險地區，要實施“外防輸入”策略，全面恢復正常生產生活秩序。中風險地區，要實施“外防輸入、內防擴散”策略，盡快有序恢復正常生產生活秩序。高風險地區，要實施“內防擴散、外防輸出、嚴格管控”策略，根據疫情態勢逐步恢復生產生活秩序。湖北省和武漢市要繼續采取最嚴格的防控措施，堅決防止疫情擴散。北京市要繼續做好防控工作，確保首都安全。

落實分區分級精準復工復產。低風險地區要盡快將防控策略調整到外防輸入上來，全面恢復生產生活秩序，中風險地區要依據防控形勢有序復工復產，高風險地區要繼續集中精力抓好疫情防控工作。
Each region should adopt a precise approach when advancing resumption of work and production based on local health risks. Regions with relatively low risks should reorient their disease prevention and control strategies as soon as possible to focus on forestalling imported cases and comprehensively restoring order to production and life. Medium-risk regions should promote work and production resumption in an orderly manner based on local epidemic-control situations, while high-risk regions should continue to be fully committed to doing a good job in epidemic prevention and control.
